Burial Services

STARTING AT $1160

For families that choose burial, there are several different service options available. We offer a variety of burial merchandise, including caskets and burial vaults, that will meet your financial needs.  Our goal at Spaulding & Curtin is to provide a positive, meaningful experience based on the wishes of each family that we have the privilege of helping.

Burial Options

After deciding on burial, you will need to decide on the type of service and the cemetery.  Services vary depending on the needs of your family.

Immediate Burial

This service can be arranged as an immediate disposition of the body, but is most times followed by a memorial service at the church, funeral home or other location. A Memorial Service is one where the body is not present.  We encourage families, if time allows, to privately view the remains before burial takes place.  Viewing the deceased is a vital part of acknowledging that the death has occured.  Having some type of gathering or service to remember a life lived is also an important part of the grieving process.

Committal Service

A committal service can also be arranged. The casketed remains are transferred to the cemetery,  typically following a visitation at the funeral home. A brief ceremony takes places, followed by burial.

Traditional Service

A traditional service is one with family or public visitation and a service with casketed remains present before burial takes place at the cemetery.  Services can be held at a place of worship or the funeral home.  Caskets can cost several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars, depending on the material used to construct them.  Most cemeteries require an outer burial container to encase the casket when ground burial is selected.  These containers are typically made of concrete, with some offering a liner and seal to prohibit earthly elements from passing through.
